Worship

Children are always welcome in worship services at Second.  The 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. services usually include a “Time With The Children” for those age three through kindergarten.  Those children can then join the programs below or continue worshiping with their family.

Nursery

We provide nursery care for infants through Kindergarten during all services except Families@Five.  You will sign in and receive a “claim check” which you will need to pick up your child after the service.

 

Preschool and Kindergarten

Young children enjoy church school on Sunday mornings at 9:30.  During the 11:00 worship service, children age three and under participate in supervised free play.

Elementary School

At 9:30 on Sundays, elementary school children participate in our innovative Sunday school curriculum.  Grades one through three enjoy the Rotation Workshop, which features different activities related to a certain Bible story.  Children rotate weekly through workshops including art, mission, games, and video.

 

4th and 5th Grade

45 Degrees is a program for fourth and fifth graders at 9:30 on Sunday morning.  It involves small group discussion and a more in-depth look at Bible passages.


Middle School and High School

On Sunday morning, middle school and high school students gather together at 9:30 before splitting into groups by grade level.  The youth suite is located on the second floor at the north end of the church.  Please see the Youth section for more information.


Families@Five

This brief, casual, family-friendly worship experience takes place each Sunday during the school year at 5 p.m. in Milner Chapel.  It's an action-packed half-hour of joyful worship that you can share with your young children.


Second@Six

Children participate in the first part of the casual Sunday evening service before leaving the sanctuary for age-appropriate activities.


Children's Choir

The children's choirs meet on Sunday mornings during the 11:00 service, September through May.  Three choirs develop the talents of different age groups. Please visit the children's choir pages for more information.

Weekday Preschool

The Children's Circle offers preschool and parent's day out program during the week.
