Sunday, March 28, 2010—Palm Sunday
Services: 8:15, 9:30 and 11 a.m., Families@Five at 5 p.m. and Second@Six at 6 p.m.
Join the children of the church in a festive parade of palms at the end of the 9:30 and the beginning of the 11 a.m. services. A live donkey leads the children through the sanctuary as they wave their palms and shout, “Hosannas, Loud Hosannas,” along with the singing congregation. Thursday, April 1, 2010—Maundy Thursday
A Tenebrae Communion Service at 8 p.m. in the Sanctuary. At this service of shadows, we share the Last Supper and hear the story of the last hours of the life of Jesus. The service ends in darkness.
Childcare is provided; make your reservations by calling 252-5519 one week in advance.
Music at this service will feature Thy Will be Done by Craig Courtney, led by the Sanctuary Choir and Remember Me by Deborah Govenor.
Friday, April 4, 2010—Good Friday Services
Noon to 3 p.m., with meditations in the chapel on the Seven Last Words of Christ. Please feel free to come and go as you are able. This service features a string quartet performing The Seven Last Words of Christ by Franz Joseph Haydn.
Sunday, April 4, 2010—Easter Sunday
Morning Worship Services: Communion Sunrise Service led by the youth at 6:30 a.m. in McFarland Hall. Worship Services in the Sanctuary at 8, 9:30 and 11:15 a.m. Music at these services will feature special prelude music with organ and brass and excerpts from the Easter portion of Handel’s Messiah, led by the Sanctuary Choir.
Evening Worship Services: Families@Five at 5 p.m.; and Second@Six Communion Service at 6 p.m.
